Dark Trumpet Sound at Vicki Rivas blog

Dark Trumpet Sound. I am looking for a bb trumpet that helps me to get a mellow/dark sound. Most people seem to want a brighter sound, but because everyone caters to that, it's nice to have a darker tone that you can contribute to a gig. I know that bright more or less means. Sometimes i like to use a deg 6v mellophone. Could somebody post an example of a dark sounding trumpet and of a bright sounding trumpet tone? I play a bach 37, which is not bad but i would like to get. The higher overtones dominant in the trumpet sound are perceived as “brighter” and the lower overtones in the horn make it sound “darker.” the higher overtones in both instruments, however, tend to be amplified as the volume level increases (the fire gets hotter when we add more fuel).
